Jan 30th an INSHORE SLAM for the boat

January 31, 2006

Inshore Fishing Pensacola Beach.

My fishing crew today was Ken, Elliot and Donnie from Alexander City Alabama.

Ken and Elliot fished last year with me and we wore out the red fish. We hoped to do the same today.

Our first stop was some topwater action for gator trout on 7m mirrolures. The action was fair. Below is Ken with one of three boated.

We had a dozen good opportunities but could not set the hooks.

The sun was up and the wind blowing 5mph we decided to check out the bay and pass for redfish. We found one hot hole. Below Ken is bowed with a nice bull red fish.

After a few minutes of intense fighting ken has a 20lb redfish to bragg about.

Ken comes back with another 10 lb red.

Elliot gets into the action with this nice grouper. Hey this gives the boat another INSHORE SLAM!

Here comes Ken with our third and last bull redfish for the day.

We leave Pensacola Bay and move to the bridge rubble. The white trout bite was hot! Donnie has the first of 30 nice white trout we caught. This trout measured out at 16 inches.

Final stringer:

3 specks

3 red fish

1 grouper

30 white trout

Awesome day with awesome fishermen

Jan 23rd After christmas to yesterday

January 24, 2006

Here are a few pictures from Christmas to yesterday. Sorry to those who were waiting to see. Camera was not working.

Enjoy!

Lets start with Bo and this very nice grouper.

Here is Jamie with a personnal best redfish. This was his birthday present from my good friend Suzy from the UWF crew.

Jamie trying for an INSHORE SLAM bags this gag! Notice the S25 color he is using.

Suzy got into the action as she battles her fish.

Oh yea a nice gag of her own. We will be eating good tonight!

Bob bowed up with a 23lb redfish.

Bob and his new friend!

Brian, Judy and Bob with their new friend “Red”.

Brian was dogged most of the day after dad caught his first fish. Brian bowed up with his own redfish.

Brian showing he no longer smells of skunk!

Bill and Joyce holding a speck and white trout. They bagged over 100 fish yesterday. What a trip!

I hope you have enjoyed the report. Give me a call and lets book a fishing trip for you and you too will be the fishing report of the day!

God Bless
Capt Wes
