May 5th 2006 A pre-wedding fishing trip for the groom

May 7, 2006

Kirk wanted to take his father Richard and Bill his father-n-law to do some light tackle fishing before the BIG DAY.

We started out with a free lined shrimp on a 3/0 circle hook with a 17lb floracarbon leader.

At first everybody was use to setting the hook but once they got the hang of tightening the line and allowing the hook to do the setting the fish started coming quickly into the boat.

Richard started the show with this scrappy speck.

Then Bill and Kirk doubled up.

Bill had the big speck of the day with this nice 3.5lb fish!

Once the pinfish became more numerous we switched to softbody jerk baits. This redfish caught by Kirk was just shy of 18″es and was fooled by a chartruce jerk bait tossed in 12″es of water.

It was a great day on the water as we caught more than 20 specks. Below we have 10 nice specks for the frying pan!

May 3rd 2006

A beautiful morning with John and Tom casting 7m mirrolures for some topwater action.

Dan was forced to the back of the boat but would prove that the fishing was just as good in the back as in the front.

Although Dan caught some specks the only proof of a speck today was this nice speck caught by John.

We tried trolling for spanish, redfish and grouper with no luck. We did spot this old ship tied up at the dock. I wonder what they are going to do with this old rusty bucket?

Our stringer was

10 specks

1 bluefish

and some really good stories!

April 27th just got married

Leon and his new bride Aliene wanted to share some quite time fishing for some real noise topwater specks.

As you will see in some of the pictures it was a little chilly as the sun came up.

We used a live shrimp free lined on a 3/0 circle hook with a 17lb floracarbon leader.

Here are the two newley weds waiting for that first “FIGHT” of their new marriage!

No winner here only loser was the two specks.

Aliene with her speck she caught all by herself!

A nice wedding fish fry for tonight

Until tommorrow,

God Bless
