May 5th 2006 A pre-wedding fishing trip for the groom
Kirk wanted to take his father Richard and Bill his father-n-law to do some light tackle fishing before the BIG DAY.
We started out with a free lined shrimp on a 3/0 circle hook with a 17lb floracarbon leader.

At first everybody was use to setting the hook but once they got the hang of tightening the line and allowing the hook to do the setting the fish started coming quickly into the boat.
Richard started the show with this scrappy speck.
Then Bill and Kirk doubled up.
Bill had the big speck of the day with this nice 3.5lb fish!
Once the pinfish became more numerous we switched to softbody jerk baits. This redfish caught by Kirk was just shy of 18″es and was fooled by a chartruce jerk bait tossed in 12″es of water.
It was a great day on the water as we caught more than 20 specks. Below we have 10 nice specks for the frying pan!
God Bless
Capt Wes
