May 10th 2006 more newly weds

May 11, 2006

I had two new anglers/newly weds. Boy I have had alot of newly weds over the last few days. Jarrod and Jan were on their honeymoon and wanted to catch some fish.

It was overcast with a 15/20 mph S wind. Boy this was going to be tough to scratch out a mess of fish.

Here is Jarrod working a jerk bait over a grassbed.

Here is Jan fishing as well.

After hooking several fish only to loose them at the boat Jarrod boats a nice speck to make a big sandwich with!

The wind was tough the bite was slow and we caught several almost keeper size specks. Then Jan lands her a sandwich size speck to put in the cooler.

The Inshore Slam looked far away so Jarrod turned to a Garbage Can Slam with this lizardfish.

Then Jarrod came back with a Ladyfish leaving a catfish, searobin or oyster toad fish to complete the Garbage Can Slam.

But in the end the wind did us in.

Total stringer:

12 specks

3 ladyfish

1 bluefish

1 blue runner

1 lizardfish

May 8th 2006 another slow day

I had two new anglers Terry and Roxann. We fished Perdido Bay. After the rain stopped we set out for some redfish. We fished live shrimp, jerk baits, 7m mirrolures and spinner baits.

It was real tough! We ended up with one keeper speck, 6 small specks and plenty of catfish.

God Bless
