July 29th and August 2nd 2006

August 8, 2006

Mark liked the thought of catching fish with topwater plugs. After 15 minutes of instructions he soon had a nice fish on.

Mark with his catch!

The weather was tough but we styaed with it and produce specks, bluefish and ladyfish.

A few days later I had Ethin, Landin and John on board. Our goal is to catch a shark!

Well, the fun part of the fishing adventure was to catch bait. Both Landin and Ethin had plenty of hook-ups but it was Ethin who saved the day with this ladyfish.

We took our only boated ladyfish and ran hard to the bay. We anchored up and prepared our bait for a shot at a shark. First, John caught a couple of sharks (sorry John forgot to click the camera). Then when our time was running out Landin said he had a fish. A few minutes later and we had this nice shark at the boat.

Now this shark would not win the Mega shark rodeo but I think this shark will be the hot topic at school for Landin!

Until our next fishing adventure…

july 19th 2006 a day to remember

As the sun came up we felt a light wind from the ESE. We were looking for any activity we could find on the top.

Andrew did not let us down as he casted his chartruce chug bug and ripped it across the water until this massive bluefish exploded!

Andrew felt bad for his dad so he asked if his dad could join in the picture.

Well Wayne felt alittle challenge and work his chug bug across the water like a cigar minnow being eyed by a 50lb king. It did not take long and I could hear the drag screaming out of my 2500 symetre.

I knew very quickly that Wayne had a huge spanish on! This fish pulled the boat to the right then the left.

The fish seemed to sound like a BIG tuna.

But finally Wayne would win over the fish.

The day was coming to an end and Andrew want a gator speck. I stopped on one of my spots that always produced aleast one nice speck. Andrew and the speck did not let me down.

The speck faught hard…

…but Andrew prevailed!

We ended the day after catching plenty of specks, spanish and bluefish with a nice father and son picture which I am sure will be a memory to last forever!

Until our next fishing adventure…
