Feb 21st 2007 fishing in the rain
I am sorry i do not have any pictures still trying to figure out my new computer.
I fished with Jason and Susan from New York. Great people! Susan had told me she had bagged her first deer with a bow. A nice 8 pointer. She said she has been eating deer meat for 3 months now and is ready for something different.
We leave the dock at 1230 hours and head to the bridge rubble. First cast and the bite is on. One white trout after another. After 2 hours of catching we decided to search for a wall hanger.
I moved down the bridge drifting and casting under the bridge until i herd Jason’s drag screaming. He was hooked up with big redfish. A few minutes later and Jason was wrapped around the pilings and snap fish off.
A few more whit trout and then the blood minnows showed up. Birds diving like bombers. Susan drops lure over the gunnel and a few twitches and she is on! A 22lb bull redfish. This is her first redfish as well as her biggest fish ever. Well…hugs and kisses for the captain.
We found the birds one more time and both Susan and Jason hook-up with bulls. Susan lands her red and nice 18lbs and Jason once again breaks off.
Saw the sun about 1600 hours. Wow what a sunset.
Going tomorrow.
Tight Lines
God Bless
Capt Wes
